Networks, wifi and VoIP phone systems
Everything else you run sits on top of your network. If the wifi drops in the warehouse or the phones go down on a Monday morning, nothing else matters.
A good network is invisible. Nobody thanks you for it. You only hear about it when a scanner drops off in the middle of a pick, or the video call freezes in front of a customer.
We design networks around how a building is used. That means walking the site, finding out where people work and what they carry, and then specifying the kit to match. It is less glamorous than talking about speeds, and it is the reason the wifi still works when the warehouse is full.
Phones
VoIP is now the normal way to run business phones in the UK, and it does more than the system it replaces. Calls can follow people between the office, home and a mobile. Hunt groups can be changed yourself in a browser. Voicemails arrive as email.
We set it up, port your numbers, train your team on the handsets and support it alongside the rest of your IT.
What is included
What you get
3CX phone systems
We are a 3CX Silver Partner and run their systems ourselves, so the people setting up your phones use the same platform every day rather than learning it on your site.
Network design and installation
Switches, routers, firewalls and structured cabling, specified for the building you are actually in rather than a standard template.
Business wifi
A site survey first, then access points positioned to cover the whole floor, including the awkward corners and the yard.
Firewalls
A properly configured firewall with rules we understand and can explain, kept updated and reviewed.
VoIP phone systems
Phones over your internet connection. Call routing, hunt groups, voicemail to email, call recording where you need it, and numbers that follow people home.
Connectivity
Broadband and leased lines sourced and managed, with a backup connection where downtime would hurt.
Remote and hybrid working
Secure access for people working from home or on the road that does not rely on everyone remembering a VPN.
Monitoring
We watch the network, not just the computers, so we see a failing switch or a saturated line before it takes the day out.
How we work
What working with us looks like
- 1
Survey
We walk the site. Building materials, layout and where people actually work decide the design, not a floor plan.
- 2
Design and quote
One document that says what we are installing, why, and what it costs. No mystery line items.
- 3
Install out of hours
Cutovers happen in the evening or at a weekend where it saves you a day of disruption.
- 4
Support it afterwards
The network is part of your support agreement, so there is no argument later about whose problem it is.
Free, no obligation
Moving premises or fitting out a new site?
Get the network, wifi and phones planned before the desks arrive. We will come and look at the building.
Common questions
Our wifi is fine in the office but useless in the warehouse. Can that be fixed?
Almost always. Warehouse coverage usually fails because access points designed for an office are being asked to cover racking, steel and height. A survey tells us how many you need and where.
Do VoIP phones work if the internet goes down?
Calls can be diverted to mobiles automatically when the line drops, so you do not lose incoming business. Where uptime is critical we fit a backup connection.
Can we keep our existing phone numbers?
Yes, numbers can be ported across. We plan that around the cutover date.
Do you do the cabling as well?
Yes. We would rather install the cabling than inherit someone else's.
